The Elf Parade is a grand kickoff to the 2017 holiday season in downtown Pensacola! The Parade Grand Marshall leads the merry crew of kids, parents, toys, and characters from the old Escambia County Courthouse to Plaza Wonderland at Palafox and Government Streets. Costumed kids of all ages march alongside an alligator “second line” brass band, Santa, and our characters from stops in the Winterfest Performance Tour. The six-block route takes about 20 minutes, and includes a Christmas song battle, tumbling snowflakes, and plenty of cheer.

"The City of Five Flags"
Here's why. Five governments have flown flags here during our history: Spain, France, Great Britain, the Confederate States of America, and our National Flag.
Other commonly known nicknames are:
"The World's Whitest Beaches," "Cradle of Naval Aviation" (Home of the Legendary Blue Angels), "The Western Gate to the Sunshine State," "America's First Settlement" (it really is),
"The Emerald Coast," "The Red Snapper Capital of the World," "The City of Champions" (many Olympic & sports stars are from Pensacola) & "The UP Side of Florida."

At Wonderland of Lights, the Christmas season springs to life with dazzling displays of electric cheer. This holiday tradition offers dazzling displays of holiday scenes, and will become one of the premier celebratory events in the Pensacola Area. These illuminated spectacles are easily visible during drive-through car tours, but at Santa's Village, even more holiday wonder awaits.
Santa's House: Kris Kringle himself listens to the wish lists of children propped upon his jolly knee and poses for photos.
Christmasy Critters: Kids can take a ride atop ponies and camels.
Festive Artwork: On the giant Christmas mural, visitors draw and color their own holiday imagery to leave their mark on the village.
Holiday Market: Families can fill their bellies at the Holiday Market with tasty treats and shop for one of a kind stocking stuffers.
